Starting and running a business is not for the faint heart. There are days when you ‘re encountered with so many problems and you’re not sure where to start to get things done. You may feel at times that you have information overload and stay busy but nothing seems to get completed. Then the negatives thoughts begin to creep in, ( i.e maybe I shouldn’t be an entrepreneur). So, you think about quitting and going back to your comfort zone.
Many women entrepreneurs feel this way even more so when you have a family to manage as well.
There are only so many hours in a day and you want to start and/or grow your business without feeling burned out and overwhelmed.
Today I’m going to share with you my 3 ways for handling overwhelm and getting things done:
1. Identify the things that needs to get done. Yes, I know you have alot of things that needs to get done. I want you to make a list of everything that needs to get done and then analyze and priortize that list from very important to least important. Then set a deadline date to have each task completed, and don’t move on to the next task until the prior take is done and you feel happy about it.
2. Plan your day in advance. You want to have a plan for the day so you’re organized and know what you want to accomplish. At end of each day, review your to do list and then clean up your work area to have it ready for the next day. A clean work area helps you to be more productive. Also, how you start your day sets the tone for the rest of day.
3. Take mini- breaks. When you begin to feel overwhelm and frustration, it’s time to take a step back and relax. This will help you calm down and get refocused. Typically, you want to do this every 30 tp 45 minutes.Get up and walk away for a change of scenery or go for a quick run or walk.
Putting these strategies into your daily routine will help you become a less-stress entrepreneur and reach your business goals.
