3 Steps to a Life with Purpose.
Have you been seeking out exactly what your life purpose is? I know the feeling. I am sharing with what I have discovered as 3 Steps to a Life with Purpose.
Step 1. Realize your Purpose is Bigger than You.
Do you get the feeling sometimes that you are meant to do something great? It may be so big that it scares you when you think about it. I have learned that this feeling relates to your purpose in life. We all have it within us from birth. It’s part of your DNA to do something great in this world. I have discovered my life work, but it wasn’t clear at first and I continue to learn more as I go along.
My freshmen year in college I started as a business major and then changed to an education major by my second semester. Within my sophomore year, I had changed back to a business major. Now I look back and it all makes sense. I had that feeling about teaching and business since my childhood.
When I was 10 years old, I use to play school. I was the teacher and my friends were my students. My parents’ living room became my classroom. Furthermore, starting at 12 years old I ran my own fruit business selling blackberries door to door to my neighbors. Apparently, I was doing my life work of teaching and business together and didn’t realize it.
These desires of my heart led me to venture into entrepreneurship in my early 20s and now I’m operating in my life work with more clarity. I love teaching and business; therefore I have combined them and became a Business Coach. The things I want to put out into marketplace seems so big, but I’ll not be deterred. I’m going all the way in with my Faith. I want you to do the same.
So, don’t write off those feeling that are pulling you in the direction of something bigger than yourself. Take some time and revisit your childhood and see what you love to do. I believe we all have signposts that have been speaking to us since childhood. We just got so busy with life and have been overlooking them. It’s time to awaken and fully walk in your purpose. You were put on earth to make a contribution. God has a plan! You have a role to play and people are waiting for what you have.
2. Operate with a Serving Heart.
A serving heart is when you have decided to go into business to be of service to others. Serving others brings meaning to our lives. If you only think about yourself and what life can give you that is not the greatest you can be, you were created for so much more. You don’t want to miss out on the most rewarding part of your life, which is contributing more service to others.
3. Inspire Others.
You are having an impact on others knowingly or unknowingly. There are people watching and looking up to you as a role model. It may be your child, friend, family member or stranger. Sometimes, you might feel like the things you’re doing aren’t important. My friend they are important and lives are being inspired and changed. So, on those days when your feel less valuable, just remember somebody life is being inspired. One changed life can open the door too many changed lives. Keep your momentum and don’t quit! Continue to live a purposeful life.
