Thinking about starting your online business? Perhaps, you’ve recently started one.
The number one question I’m asked: Where do I even start?
Today, I’m sharing with you 6 tools that will help you to get your online business up and running.
There are plenty of tools to get you started, but I want to tell you about 6 tools that I’ve used in my own business.
When you’re just getting started your business needs a website.
So you need to buy a domain. GoDaddy.com is a great domain registrar where you can buy your own domain name.
This is a storage place for your website, it’s like your home online.
Look at it like( real estate) your domain name is your home and the “hosting” provider..is the land you’re renting online.
Once you have a domain name, you’ll need a place to create your website.
WordPress.org is a content management system (CMS). It’s a very easy platform to build your website or your online blog.
Check out these 3 benefits….
- No coding skills needed.
- You have control over your website.
- You can customize it for your brand.
Also, with WordPress.org you can integrate your social media channels.
This one here is my fave..fave tool –
It’s a note-taking tool.
Here are some great benefits to using this tool when you’re building your online business:
- you can create a project to-do list.
- you can create different folders to stay organized.
- you can save articles.
- you can record a voice memo ( for those inspired thoughts popping in your mind throughout the day).
Also, you can use Evernote across all your devices. It’s a free tool up to two devices.
Running an online business after a while, you’ll have so many accounts to keep up with: different logins for your social media channels, website, hosting account..etc. All these accounts require a username, and a password – you can’t keep all this in your head..you’ll soon start to forget some (Please don’t use the same logins for all your accounts).
You need to have a different username and password for all your accounts. This is a great tool to save all your usernames and passwords.
It’s a file sharing tool.
You can save your files, videos and media files (audio, social media graphic). It helps you to be organized and simplify your online business.
You can plan your promotions, for example, you can make a different folder for each phase of your promotions.
